Sioux Falls, SD – June 7th, 2012: A few quick observations: closed sales volumes are flirting with tax credit levels, the number of active listings are back around 2007 counts, sellers have seen a greater share of their list price than the year prior for five consecutive months and prices have enjoyed three consecutive months of year-over-year gains for the median and five consecutive gains for the average.

Sioux Falls, South Dakota has been selected by Forbes.com as the Number 1 city in America for the Best Small Cities For Business And Career. From the Forbes.com article: Leading the way for a seventh straight year is Sioux Falls, S.D. Credit business costs that are 26% below the national average, low crime rates and an economy that is expected to expand 4.1% annually over the next five years. Another enticement: South Dakota does not levy individual or corporate income taxes.
