Education

The Beresford School District includes three elementary and middle schools, and two high schools. All schools boast an excellent student-teacher ratio, and Beresford Elementary School has achieved "distinguished" status according to state requirements. There are three colleges within one hundred miles of Crooks, including the University of South Dakota, South Dakota State University, and Southwest State University.
